Another one of our Original Tea Blends!  Combining the beauty of a Sencha Green Tea and the robust Rhubarb and Raspberry Black Teas, this homespun SimpliciTea of goodness is a delightful combo that transports you, as if you had picked fresh raspberries and rhubarb yourself, and baked them into a scrumptious pie, and then extracted that flavor into a tall glass of front porch, sun-brewed iced tea.  Yummy!  So good that it‘ll knock your socks off!  That is... iffin’ you‘re wearin’ any.
 
The Brew Ha-Ha:
 
Green Tea comes from the unoxidized leaves of the Camellia Sinensis bush that are harvested during the early Spring.  It is one of the least processed types of tea, containing the most antioxidants and beneficial polyphenols, that positively affects digestion, weight loss, liver and heart health, mental and cognitive acuity, as well as enhance skin care, anti-inflammation, and longevity.  It is known to have anti-cancer agents and help against type 2 diabetes.  It can be steamed, ground, or pan-fried to achieve certain flavor profiles, and is simply wonderful whether served as a hot or cold beverage.
 
Black Tea comes from the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis bush that are harvested from the Spring, Summer, and Fall that are allowed to undergo an oxidization process.  This causes the tea leaves to ripen to a dark brown or black color.  The more oxidization the tea leaves are exposed to determines the flavor of the Black Tea, which can run a pretty wide gamut from mild and sweet to smoky, malty, earthen, and dense and stronger.  It is a full-bodied tea that contains a lot of antioxidants and promotes heart health, has anti-cancer agents, fights inflammation, and works as a digestive aid.
