Kanchanjangha Verde is a high-grade, floral-scented, and subdued Green Tea that has undergone a specific and refined production process. With fruity aromas and nutty, grassy overtones in the cup, this silky brew takes the hand-picked tea leaves from a very short resting period before being heated in a tea dryer. This stops the oxidation process. Then the partially dried tea leaves are placed in a rolling machine, which cracks the cell walls of the leaf to liberate their essential oils.
After a light crushing procedure, the tea is sorted using three separate machines. This divides the flaky bits and stem pieces, collecting only the finest portions of the leaf. Then grading each leaf based on their size, they are manually sifted to create this exquisite mountain tea.
The Brew Ha-Ha:
Green Tea comes from the unoxidized leaves of the Camellia Sinensis bush that are harvested during the early Spring. It is one of the least processed types of tea, containing the most antioxidants and beneficial polyphenols, that positively affects digestion, weight loss, liver and heart health, mental and cognitive acuity, as well as enhance skin care, anti-inflammation, and longevity. It is known to have anti-cancer agents and help against type 2 diabetes. It can be steamed, ground, or pan-fried to achieve certain flavor profiles, and is simply wonderful whether served as a hot or cold beverage.
