An imperial Lapsang Souchong.  A robust black tea from the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian province in China. Smoked over pine fires in an ancient tradition, this hearty tea brews to a delicious copper-color with tasteful hints of a warm and inviting campfire.

The Brew Ha-Ha:

Black Tea comes from the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis bush that are harvested from the Spring, Summer, and Fall that are allowed to undergo an oxidization process.  This causes the tea leaves to ripen to a dark brown or black color.  The more oxidization the tea leaves are exposed to determines the flavor of the Black Tea, which can run a pretty wide gamut from mild and sweet to smoky, malty, earthen, and dense and stronger.  It is a full-bodied tea that contains a lot of antioxidants and promotes heart health, has anti-cancer agents, fights inflammation, and works as a digestive aid.

Available: In eco-friendly rice-paper bags or our Special Edition Collector Tea Tins. Each Tin comes with 3.5 ounces of our delicious tea.  The label features original art.
