White Prakash

White Prakash

$9.00Price

for 2oz Reusable Rice Paper Bag

A smooth, flowery white tea with hints of vanilla, melting butter, muscatel, and spring blooms.  Specially crafted for its nuanced and fulfilling flavor, this tea is named after the founder of the Kanchanjangha Tea Estate in Eastern Nepal, Deepak Prakash.  Prakash in Hindi literally translates to “Shinning Forth”, meaning Light, Sunshine, or Lustre.  Which suits this amazing tea perfectly as it delivers pure golden light in your cup.

The Brew Ha-Ha:

White Tea is comprised of new, young tea leaves and buds from the Camellia Sinensis plant that are only harvested a few short weeks each Spring.  Originally grown in China, White Tea production has expanded in recent years to other tea growing countries, such as India, Nepal, & Africa. Consisting of two main styles, Bai Mu Dan, also known as White Peony, and Bai Hao Yin Zhen, more commonly known as Silver Needles, White Tea is labor intensive, handpicked; allowed minimal oxidization and drying in the sun, called Withering, and is appreciated for its delicate flavor and wonderfully soft, sweet, succulent cup.  The closest tea to the bush, White Tea is packed with antioxidants and other health affirming benefits.
