Known for its high mountains, that include Mount Everest, Napal has the distinct ability to grow delicious teas at high altitudes, which produces a divine sweetness to their teas just as if the nectar of the gods flowed down from the mountain peaks. Using only the finest downy tips of the plant, this white silver needle tea is naturally sweet with a thick body and notes of buttercream, apricots, and snow.
The Brew Ha-Ha:
White Tea is comprised of new, young tea leaves and buds from the Camellia Sinensis plant that are only harvested a few short weeks each Spring. Originally grown in China, White Tea production has expanded in recent years to other tea growing countries, such as India, Nepal, & Africa. Consisting of two main styles, Bai Mu Dan, also known as White Peony, and Bai Hao Yin Zhen, more commonly known as Silver Needles, White Tea is labor intensive, handpicked; allowed minimal oxidization and drying in the sun, called Withering, and is appreciated for its delicate flavor and wonderfully soft, sweet, succulent cup. The closest tea to the bush, White Tea is packed with antioxidants and other health affirming benefits.
